Probate

Probate is the first step in the legal process of administering the estate of a person who died without leaving a Will, and resolving all claims and distributions when there are disputes relating to a deceased person’s Will. A probate court decides the legal validity of a testator’s will, grants its approval by granting probate to the executor, and officially appointing the executor (or personal representative) to dispose of the testator’s assets in the manner specified in the will. Probate Court proceedings are often complicated and emotionally draining if not handled by the right team of professionals.
